Real-time, long-distance photo sharing: Luke and I created this little application a while ago to make it easier to share pictures with our families that live on the other side of the country.

As the slideshow controller, you run a greasemonkey script, that takes note of whatever picture you're currently viewing on flickr.

Slideshow viewers go to your personalized url, and sit back and watch, while, thanks to the magic of ajax, the page is updated every time you navigate to a new picture on flickr.

We find that it works best in combination with narration via phone/skype/google chat.

Recently, we moved it over to google app engine, so it's sorta like robust enough for other people to use, too... but it is very beta. Feel free to check it out.
